i remember my delight 2-3 years ago, when i first discovered yelp.com. every now and then, id google a resto or bar in sf for directions, hours, and what not, and find that a review on yelp.com was at the top of my search results.
yelp.com is a blessing for those of us who always forget that resto we’ve been meaning to go when we actually wanna get going. just navigate to the cute little doman name, click on restaurants, mission district, fried chicken, and waa-la! there you have it: the front porch. mmmm, by the way. my last trip to chicago was planned almost entirely on yelp.com. its another web 2.0 site which i totally can’t live without!
so imagine my surprise this past weekend, when i googled pacharan, a tapas resto in district 1 of saigon, and this is where i ended up.
yup, that’s right – excuse the pun. yup.vn has blatantly ripped of yelp.com. i dont have all the details yet folks, but this is pretty fantastic. might they be launching social events for yuppers soon?
